How automatic post syncing works

After connecting your Instagram or TikTok account, PostLink automatically syncs your posts so you always have the latest content ready to link.

How syncing works: - When you first connect, PostLink imports your recent posts - New posts are detected and synced periodically - You can also trigger a manual sync from Dashboard → Posts → Sync Now

What gets synced: - Post image or video thumbnail - Caption text - Post type (image, video, carousel) - Posting date - Platform permalink

What doesn't get synced: - Stories (ephemeral content) - DMs or private content - Comments or engagement metrics - Archived or deleted posts

This works the same for both Instagram and TikTok. Once connected, posts from both platforms appear together on your Posts page with platform indicators.

Sync frequency: Posts are checked for updates regularly. For the most up-to-date sync, use the manual "Sync Now" button after publishing a new post.

Troubleshooting sync issues: - Make sure your account is still connected (Dashboard → Settings) - If posts aren't appearing, try disconnecting and reconnecting the account - Only public posts are synced — private accounts may have limited sync - See "My posts aren't syncing" for detailed troubleshooting
